Built for the Blank Wall
Every room has one: the empty wall that should be doing more. Blankwall Carpentry exists to turn that space into honest, hard-working storage. We are a carpentry shop based in Brislington, Bristol, and we focus on four things: closet shelves, bookshelves, clothing racks and shoe racks.
What We Make
Our range is built around solid hardwood, not veneered board. We work in oak, walnut and ash, finished in natural, brown, dark and walnut tones.
• Closet Shelves – floating shelves on steel brackets, in widths from 24” to 65” and depths from 12” to 16”.
• Bookshelves – open, tool-free bookcases from low nightstand heights to full-height units.
• Clothing Racks – freestanding garment rails that slot together by hand in about five minutes.
• Shoe Racks – two- to five-tier organisers for entryways, hallways and wardrobes.
How We Work
We design each piece to be simple to install and built to last. Most of our bookshelves, racks and shoe organisers assemble without tools. Our closet shelves fix to the wall with a small set of screws and brackets. Finishes are low-VOC and chosen to protect the wood while keeping its natural grain visible.
Because solid wood is a natural material, every board is slightly different. Grain, knots and tone will vary from piece to piece, and we see that as part of the character of real timber.
